The Saint Vincent and the Grenadines flag contain three vertical bands that are colored blue, yellow and green.  In the center of the yellow band are three green diamonds that form a “V” for Vincent and also signifies Saint Vincent as the “gems of the Antilles”. The blue represents the waters surrounding the island and the sky above.   The green on the flag symbolizes the rich vegetation and the yellow represents the golden sands of the Grenadines. The flag of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was adopted on October 21, 1985.
