Comoros Flag

The national flag of Comoros contains a green triangle against the hoist with a white crescent and four stars. The crescent and star represent Islam which is the nation’s main religion. Next to the triangle are four strips which are colored yellow, white, red and blue. Each strip represents one of the four islands of the county. The yellow is for Mohéli, white is for Mayotte, red is for Anjouan and the color blue stands for Grande Comore.  The flag was established on January 7, 2002.
